FreePlay meet-ups
Find dogs that match on size, energy and character. An excitable puppy and a calm adult rarely enjoy each other, and that is taken into account in the order we show you profiles.
Starting in Panama City
Now also open in Madrid, Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Miami
Play meet-ups, responsible breeding and adoption, with verified owners who are near you. Without ever publishing where you live.
Sample photographs under free licences; these are not real profiles. credits
Four steps. The last one is the one almost nobody else does.
Breed, size, energy and what you are here for: play, breeding or adoption. That is what decides which profiles you are shown and which you are not.
You are shown compatible animals that really are nearby, ordered by what fits: size, energy, character and distance.
Nobody can message you unless you liked them first. That is what prevents the cold message from someone you never chose.
The meet-up is set at a place from the directory that a person checked on a map. You cannot type an address by hand: a first meeting between two strangers is not a house call.
FreeFind dogs that match on size, energy and character. An excitable puppy and a calm adult rarely enjoy each other, and that is taken into account in the order we show you profiles.
VerifiedProfiles with identity verification, health tests declared by breed, and warnings about the risks of a particular pairing. We never charge for a mating, nor take part in it.
FreeShelters with a permanently free account. If you are looking for company rather than a particular breed, this is where to start.
Trust
It is what separates PetMatch from a WhatsApp group: every piece is built so two strangers can meet without risking anything.
The map draws a circle, not a point. The real coordinate is stored encrypted and never leaves the server: what travels is “about 3 km away”.
Every photo is re-encoded on upload, so the GPS your phone embeds in a picture of the yard is left behind.
Confirmed email before messaging anyone; identity reviewed by a person, with a badge on the profile; and the documents are deleted once it is resolved.
A meet-up can only be set at a public place from the directory that someone checked on a map. There is no option to type an address.
Before a meet-up you can send someone you trust a link with the place and time. It expires on its own and reveals nothing else.
If it gets lost
You post the alert with the exact spot where it went missing and every user within the radius you choose gets notified, at any hour. And the poster is shared by link in the neighbourhood group, whether or not the person opening it has PetMatch.
Premium
Creating a profile, swiping and matching cost nothing. The subscription removes the only limit there is — messaging — and adds what comes with it.
7-day trial. The yearly plan is cheaper on the web only.

Shelters and rescue groups get a permanently free account, and their directory listing is verified like any other place: a person checks the address before it is published.
Community
A per-city feed — not a global one — where you recognise the park in the photo, events with places and capacity at verified venues, and a monthly meet-up coordinated from the app.
What each breed needs from a play companion, and what must be settled before planning a litter.
Pregnancy and heat, with ranges rather than single dates: an exact date would be false.
No. The exact location never leaves the server. What others see is an approximate distance («about 3 km away») and a circle on the map shifted by between 500 and 1,500 metres. No coordinates remain in the photos either: we strip the metadata from every image on upload.
Yes. Creating a profile, browsing the feed, liking and matching cost nothing. The free account includes 5 active conversations and 20 messages a day; if that runs short, there is the subscription. It is the only paywall there is.
There is a monthly plan and a yearly one, both with a 7-day trial during which nothing is charged. The exact price is on the Premium page and is read from the payment provider each time, so what you see is what you are charged. The yearly plan is cheaper, and is only offered on the web.
We require a confirmed email before allowing anyone to message, payments inside the chat are prohibited, and we automatically detect the usual patterns (deposits up front, transfers to personal accounts). Reporting and blocking are two taps away from any profile.
Of course. Profiles declare their intent — play, breeding or adoption — and a neutered animal never appears in the breeding feed. It is a hard filter, not a preference.
They have been in from day one. Meet-ups make less sense for a cat, but responsible breeding, adoption, the health card with vaccine reminders and the lost-pet alert all work the same.
Today it is open in Panama City, Miami, Madrid, Bogotá and Buenos Aires. The other cities in the United States, Spain, Colombia and Argentina have a waiting list: an app like this needs people genuinely nearby. Each city opens when there are enough profiles for the feed not to come up empty, and signing up is what decides it.
We widen the radius automatically and tell you so. You will never see an empty screen with no explanation.
