Gran Danés

Size giant
Tranquilo
Sociable
Independiente

Enormous and surprisingly calm indoors. Its great problem is brevity: it rarely passes eight years.

Play meet-ups

Be careful with giant-breed puppies: intense exercise before growth plates close damages the joints permanently.

Antes de plantear una camada

Gastric torsion and dilated cardiomyopathy. Annual echocardiography for breeding animals; a single test for life is not enough.

Recommended health tests

Hip dysplasia
Cardiomyopathy
Gastric torsion
Brucellosis

PetMatch does not certify any of these tests, nor does it replace your vet's judgement.
