Delete your account
From the app
Your profile → Settings → Delete my account, at the bottom of the screen, and confirm.
From the website
Sign in at petmatch.dconext.com/entrar, tap your name at the top right and, at the bottom of the page, Eliminar mi cuenta (Delete my account). Confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Write to petmatch@dconext.com from your account's email address asking us to delete it. If you have forgotten your password, you can also reset it on the sign-in screen and delete the account yourself.
What happens next
As soon as you request it, all your sessions are closed and your pets stop appearing in the feed. You have 30 days to change your mind: if you sign in again within that period, the deletion is cancelled.
After 30 days, the following is permanently deleted:
- your profile and your contact details;
- your pets, their photos, their health record and pedigree;
- your conversations, with all their messages and meet-ups;
- your posts, comments, events, likes and reviews, your lost pet alerts and your adoption applications;
- your identity verification, your sessions, your devices and your access to Premium.
We keep, with nothing that identifies you, payment records —the law requires it— and moderation reports. Usage events are left unlinked from any account.
If there is an unresolved report against your account, deletion waits until a moderator resolves it, so that deleting the account cannot be used to erase the evidence of what was reported.
If you have Premium, cancel the subscription too in Google Play or PayPal: deleting the account does not stop the billing, which the provider manages.
